Adrift on the Starry Sky

Alexandria Crew Roster

The Cosmic Lee company was originally intended to research, popularize, and monetize cutting-edge solar and fusion power technologies. It quickly diversified to champion advanced tools and processes for ecological recycling, reclamation and preservation. Cosmic Lee also pushes the boundaries of genetic manipulation and expression, to heal those ravaged by the ecological catastrophes on an overheated and crowded world with more than twelve billion souls.

The crown jewel of this work is the Alexandria, a new spaceship and technology testbed named after the ancient Library of Alexandria, financed solely by Cosmic Lee. Their public relations materials describe the Alexandria as a ship that can travel farther and faster than any that have gone before. The Alexandria is capable of making an extended study of the worlds and moons of the Outer System — Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — worlds that have been out of Humanity’s reach except by robotic probe.

There is surprisingly strong political opposition to these efforts, voices demanding that the trillions of UEC Dollars be spent on Earth, for Earth-based projects, instead of on a ship bound for unusable and uninteresting worlds. There are even those who insist that the Alexandria is actually a starship in disguise, capable of running away forever from responsibilities here on a sick and troubled Earth. Many of these angry, opposing voices are in the top echelons of the United Earth Concord government. Cosmic Lee denies all the rumors, pointing to published plans for its Grand Tour through the Outer System.

The Alexandria crew roster, tentatively scheduled for departure in 18 to 24 months, is listed as:
